BELMONT

Belmont is located in Gaston County, NC., and is on the northern tip of Lake Wylie.  The town population is about 9,000, and is conveniently located near I-85 and the newly completed 485 bypass.  Rush hour commute to uptown Charlotte is about 30 minutes.  There are several Lake Wylie waterfront communities in the Belmont area, including Reflection Pointe, Woodland Bay, Paradise Point, Lake Ridge, and River Lakes.

Belmont has a delightful downtown area, rich with historic properties and charm.  Stowe Park, located in the center of town, is a popular gathering place and hosts festivals in the summer and holidays.

Belmont Abbey College is a private, 650-acre college located near the town's center, featuring a liberal arts college as well as a monastery.

Historic downtown is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, strolling from shop to shop.

Stowe Park is at the center of the historic district downtown.  There's a playground and picnic area to enjoy.
