Off of NC Hwy 49 in Mecklenburg County, NC, not far from the Buster Boyd Bridge, The Palisades is an awe-inspiring 1500 acre Charlotte lake community currently in development with an eye to environmental conservation.

Residents of the fourteen planned neighborhoods will be able to enjoy the flora and fauna of the Carolinas, as well as an endless array of amenities including: private country club, golf course, soccer training center, equestrian center, walking trails, parks, and more. 

Homes in the Ashton Oaks range from $800,000 to over $2 million.  Crosshaven, Turtle Creek, and Rusty Creek feature homes from the $400's to the $700's.  The Ranch, consisting of luxury homes overlooking the Palisades Equestrian Center, will offer homes $1.5 million to $4 million.  The Equestrian Center has a 20-stall barn, jumping arena, and trails.

English Village style homes in the Treetops section are priced in the $800,000 range.  Other areas planned include Eagles Landing ($6000's), Bear Creek ($500's), Marabella ($400's), Morningside and Whispering Pines ($300's).
